The personnel-orientated management philosophy places the personnel – on the one hand as the key factor in contact with clients/service, and on the other hand as the essential holder of knowledge in the company – into the fore of the company’s personnel and communications policy. Therefore the entrepreneurial challenge has to be to commit the personnel long-termly to the company, in order to advance their residence time and motivation for good performance by investments in a personnel-orientated management philosophy. This academic paper’s subject of analysis is the portrayal of determinants and elements of a personnel-orientated management philosophy and the analysis of their impacts on the personnel’s motivation and willingness to perform. To set an example, the personnel-charter of the Sparkasse Niederösterreich Mitte West Aktiengesellschaft portrays these determinants of a personnel-orientated management philosophy, specifically in the areas of strategic management, personnel formation and development, management, pay for performance, work-life-balance and information management. Comparative findings of two inquiries among the personnel of the Sparkasse Niederösterreich Mitte West Aktiengesellschaft on the one hand permit to draw conclusions concerning the contentedness of the personnel with current determinants of this philosophy. On the other hand, the findings make evident in which areas improvements can be effected. The external impact of a personnel-orientated management philosophy concerning image and corporate social responsibility likewise contributes to the advancement of the personnel’s motivation and willingness to perform. It therefore is capable of increasing the attractiveness of the company equally for future applicants and for potential clients. Investments in a personnel-orientated management philosophy therefore not only contribute to the individual contentedness of the personnel, but also have a sustaining impact on the company’s success. http://phaidra.fhstp.ac.at/o:1102 application/pdf 856160 bytes "In jeder Beziehung zählen die Menschen" Text
