This diploma thesis is about the particularities of intercultural communica-tion and its impact on integrated communication – special attention is turned to the tourism industry. Over the last years, enterprises had to deal more and more with intercultural and integrated communication. Due to globalisation, digitalisation and new forms of information and communication technologies, these two disciplines will also be part of an enterprise in the future. The tourism industry has al-ways had to deal with cultural differences. But in consideration of keen competition, integrated communication has to consider more and more dif-ferent cultures within one reference group. Therefore, the basic question of this diploma is: Is it possible to integrate all communication measures in the course of in-tercultural integrated communication? And how could be a concept in gen-eral and a workflow for a tour operator? By consolidating the two disciplines some problems appear. If the cultural differences within one reference group are too big, integration can only be achieved to a certain degree. But on the other side, interculturality within one reference group displays an additional sight of integration, which will gain more and more in importance in the future. From the author’s sight of view, intercultural integrated communication is possible, when enterprises accept that the degree of integration is only that high, that cultural differ-ences can be included. In dependence on an existing 10-steps-concept for integrated communica-tion a 10-steps-concept for intercultural integrated communication has been established. This concept is also part of an exemplary workflow for intercul-tural integrated communication for a tour operator. This diploma is based on literature research. The combination of the two disciplines, the 10-steps-concept for intercultural integrated communication and the workflow for intercultural integrated communication for a tour op-erator are based on the findings out of the literature research. They are de-veloped from the author’s point of view. http://phaidra.fhstp.ac.at/o:1743 application/pdf 745293 bytes Text Besonderheiten der Interkulturellen Kommunikation und deren Auswirkungen auf die Integrierte Kommunikation im Tourismusbereich
