The presented paper describes the method “family group conference” and explains its historical background. Furthermore the applied standards are addressed and the effects, which result from the method, are defined. A chapter analyses the current development of the topic in Europe. Considerations on the estimated costs for implementing the method “family group conference” and similar projects in Austria are outlined as well as educational possibilities for the coordinators. A part of this assignment is used as an evaluation for a pilot project of the “Department for youth welfare of the Lower Austrian provincial government”, both - the project and the department - are also described. http://phaidra.fhstp.ac.at/o:2867 application/pdf 886530 bytes Family Group Conference - Familienrat Text
