Motivation for a satisfying and successful life The imagination of a satisfying and successful life of young and homeless women Supporting clients to manage their lives in a satisfying and successful way is the main challenge and goal of all interventions in social work. The assumption is that every person has something successful and satisfying to show at least once in life. Depending on where the focus is we can paint a picture of success or failure. Clients of social work are hardly noticed for their successful achievements, because they do not require support in these areas. The main focus of this thesis is to direct the attention to the successful and satisfying elements in the lives of these clients. Their personal perspective has been selected. Additionally, I attempt to make use of posibilities and ressources in social work which might not have been recognized or taken into consideration without this focus on success and personal satisfaction. The idea of succeeding in a personally satisfying way is viewed as a driver and motivator in people. Particularly homeless people are considered as failures. Young, homeless women from Lower Austria and Vienna were interviewed in this thesis concerning their ideas and opinions about a successful and satisfying life. The goal of this thesis was to learn more about a target group from the perspective of success and satisfaction where there is any hardly any empirical data available. Attention was paid to success and satisfaction today and in the past as well as the future. The results show both connections from the life history of the women with respect to success and satisfaction in life and the present map of successful elements. http://phaidra.fhstp.ac.at/o:623 application/pdf 1435563 bytes Text Motivation gelingendes Leben
