This thesis is about recording techniques for 5.1 Surround. After introducing into spartial hearing, conditions for an optimum five channel main microphone are discussed. It should exploit the principal benefits of the 3/2-stereo Format to ensure maximum localisation focus and to offer improved spartial impression and enveloping atmosphere. The thesis concentrates on the methods “Multi Microphone Array Design” MMAD and “Optimiced Triangel” OCT. While MMAD respectively the “INA” cardoid configurations are designed in line with the Williams Curves aiming optimum attachment of the recording areas, OCT is optimised regarding the interchannel crosstalk. Finally, a 5.1 Surround recording of an concert at the Franziskanerkirche in Vienna is planned and realized, using the recording concept main microphone / room microphone / spot microphone. As main microphone it is used an INA 3 arrangement while an IRT cross is added as a room microphone for spartial imaging. The sections “brass”, “choral singing” and “acting” of the recording are individually mixed and valued. http://phaidra.fhstp.ac.at/o:795 application/pdf 2653816 bytes Mehrkanal-Aufnahmeverfahren Text
